Salvation

  Salvation

Matthew 18:3 (NLT) Then he said, "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will NEVER get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as HUMBLE as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Step 1. Confess and Repent

1 John 1:8-9 (NLT) If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to God, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to clean us from all wickedness.

Romans 3:23 (NLT) For "Everyone" has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard.

Yes! God can forgive you of all your sins, no matter how awful.

2 Peter 3:9 (NLT) The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

Step 2. Asking God For Salvation

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:13 For "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

We see from the scriptures that anyone who truly believes and calls on Jesus will be saved. Over the years people have made a prayer out of these scriptures and it is commonly referred to as "The Sinners Prayer" (a.k.a. The Salvation Prayer).

Romans 8:9-11 (NLT) 9But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. 10 And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life* because you have been made right with God. 11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.

This is where you will receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This indwelling is when God's spirit comes to live in you. The Holy Spirit will help guide and teach you all about Jesus.  This is essential to understanding the word of God.

Step 3. Baptism Of The Holy Spirit

When you first receive Jesus Christ you get the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is when God lives in you and becomes your guide (helper).

Now receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit is receiving the power of God. Remember that Jesus didn't perform any miracles until he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Only God's true children ( the ones born again) can ask and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Welcome To God's Family !

Our goals in the family is to serve God and love people. If you love Jesus you MUST follow these commands:

Matthew 22:37,39 (NLT)
37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind".
39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.

During this time of receiving Christ, it is very common to "feel" a great joy and a closeness with God. You MUST not rely on "feelings" to determine if God is with you. Serving God is "Faith Based", so we must push on despite of what we feel.

Now that you are a child of God it's time to get you ready. Since birth we have all lived in total darkness (ignorance). This is what Jesus meant when he said, "I came to bring sight to the blind". You have lived a long time in worldly deception and the scales will be removed from your eyes. On our last day, no one will be able to say to the creator "I didn't know". This is the answer to why we are here spreading God's message. Some people are going to receive while others will reject God. Blessed are those that receive and finish the race.

Serving God is a way of life and not sitting in a building on Wednesdays and Sundays. Truly, seeking God requires a tremendous amount of time and effort from one but paradise awaits those who continue the race. God wants a direct (one on one) relationship with his children. There are misconceptions that ministers are a proxy between God and his children.  Just like you wouldn't want to go through a third party to have a relationship with your child, why would God want that?

For young believers, we recommend first reading the four Gospels of Jesus Christ.
* Matthew       *Mark            *Luke           *John

Don't just stop there! Set aside time to pray and study the word of God from "Cover to Cover".  Remember the Holy Bible  is not a literary reading, so allow the Holy Spirit that now lives in you to explain things to you.  Who better to explain God Word than the original author and creator of the book.

Studying God's word along with listening to our audio teaching work very well together.

GOD BLESS
